Quilts made by Ann Stamm Merrell, an Art.Rage.Us artist who died of breast cancer in 1999. It's so interesting to see how Ann's diagnosis freed up her quilting style -- from beautiful traditional patterns to abstract,very passionate nonpatterns. As Ann said, "Of all the bad things that can happen to you, making a mistake with a piece of fabric isn't one of them."
